Greensboro, NC – May 23, 2017 – Macro Integration Services, a leader in retail deployment, staging and maintenance services, announced today that it has received qualification as a Qualified Integrator and Reseller (QIR) from the PCI Security Standards Council. The certification establishes that Macro consistently adheres to current best practices under the PCI Data Security Standard, protecting the important financial data that passes through the Point of Sale (POS) systems it installs.

Breach investigations have shown that retailer’s networks can be compromised at the root level with the installation and maintenance of payment applications, if done incorrectly. Therefore, QIRs play a significant role to merchants in maintaining their PCI DSS compliance. As part of the Program, QIRs are authorized to implement, configure, support, validated PA-DSS Payment Applications on behalf of merchants or service providers.
