Terry has over 24 years of experience in the grocery retail industry and over 7 years of management consulting experience

Terry was hired in April 2011 to become president of Macro Integration Services based upon the industry, management, and consulting expertise he could bring to Macro.  Terry has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.  He has his Masters in Business Administration degree from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University in 1982 with a concentration in Finance.  He also maintains his qualifications as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

Terry began his post-graduate school work experience at Food Lion as financial reporting supervisor before moving to the information technology area a year later.  He performed in a variety of roles and escalating authority over the 14 years he spent in Food Lion IT where in left as director of information technology in order to expand his experience at Deloitte Consulting in 1997.  At Deloitte, Terry was a senior manager who worked primarily in the retail industry, including clients such as Target, Eckerd Drug, Belk, Goody’s, Nash Finch, and SAP.  His areas of practice focus were technology assessments, selections, and implementations, business strategy, as well as being one of the Deloitte national leaders in cost optimization consulting.

In 2002, Terry was asked to return to Food Lion as chief information officer and senior vice president and to join the executive committee.  In that role, Terry was recognized as a top leader in information technology and Food Lion was selected by Supermarket News in its inaugural technology excellence award.  Food Lion was also recognized by Progressive Grocer as the supermarket retailer of the year in 2006.  In 2007, Terry was promoted to the CIO of Delhaize Group, the parent company of Food Lion and a $23 billion international grocery retailer.  He joined the executive committee of Delhaize Group until he retired in 2010 to form Morgan Advisory Services, LLC and then to subsequently join Macro Integration Services.

Terry has served on the boards of the Worldwide Retail Exchange and Agentrics and is currently a member of the CIO Advisory Board for SAS Institute.  He mentors two at-risk teenagers through a United Way agency and serves on their advisory committee
